Katy Perry arrasou nas nomeações do MTV Video Music Awards

O videoclipe Firework de Katy Perry teve pólvora suficiente para receber nove nomeações aos prêmios MTV Video Music Awards deste ano, incluindo Melhor Vídeo do Ano. Perry, artista encarregada de apresentar o programa especial onde se anunciaram as nomeações da premiação, também poderá ganhar a estatueta de Melhor Vídeo de Artista Feminina graças ao videoclipe de Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.). Adele e Kanye West ficaram em segundo lugar com sete nomeações cada um. A diva britânica competirá com Perry na categoria do prêmio de Melhor Vídeo por Rolling in the Deep, junto com os Beastie Boys com Make Some Noise, o rapper Tyler por Yonkers, e Bruno Mars por Grenade. Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Bruno Mars e Eminem completam o quadro de honra dos mais nomeados. O MTV Awards será transmitido no dia 28 de agosto diretamente do Nokia Theatre L.A., em Los Angeles.
